Friday Fashion Crush: Embroidered Clothing

Hey Everyone!

This fashion season is all about embroidery...anything from button down striped tops, t-shirts and best of all...denim! Embroidery is a great way to add femininity and whimsy to your clothing. I especially love all floral embroidery and the vintage feel it gives to an outfit. I think it is a great way to add a pop of color without having to add too many accessories. Stay tuned, because on Monday I am sharing some great embroidered pieces to add to your wardrobe this spring and summer!

Happy Friday!

Friday Fashion Crush: All Things Gingham

Hi there!

Today's fashion crush is all about print...gingham to be exact. Other than stripes, this is my go to pattern. I think it is a bold pattern that is timeless and fun all wrapped up in one! I love it for dresses, pants, shorts, shoes...pretty much anything you can imagine. I have even used it in several rooms in my house! It is a great pattern for spring, summer and can even carry your wardrobe in to early fall. Below, is a round up of some of my favorite gingham looks found on Pinterest. Be sure to check out Monday's post for some of my favorite gingham pieces available this season.

What's your favorite pattern or print?

Happy Friday!

Forsyth Park Inn

Hi There!

Josh and I decided to celebrate my spring break from school by heading down to one of my all-time favorite places, Savannah. If you love walking, drooling over older homes and eating fabulous food, you need to book your trip now. We first stayed at the Forsyth Park Inn last spring break and immediately fell in love. It is a gorgeous home that was built during the 1890s and looks over beautiful Forsyth Park.

Although I love everything about the house, the front entrance is probably my favorite. Its marble staircase leads to this amazing front stoop that has the prettiest moldings and big wood-and-glass front door with original tile work below. I wish I could take this front entrance home with me and attach it to the front of our house...

My second-favorite part of the house is the huge porch on the side of the Inn that looks over Forsyth Park. It is the perfect place to people watch and eat the delicious breakfasts the Inn prepares for its guests every morning. I am not talking about the typical bagels and pastries. Yesterday morning we had the most delicious croissant french toast, yogurt parfait and bacon. Needless to say, my plate was clean. ;-)

Blouse: Loft Shorts: Old Navy Purse: Cult Gaia Shoes: Jack Rogers

Both times we have visited, Josh and I have stayed in room number six. It has a beautiful four poster bed, original fireplace and marble floors, and a clawfoot tub in the bathroom. Josh sometimes makes fun of me, but I always prefer to stay in a historic bed and breakfast over a hotel simply to experience the history of the place and get a glimpse into the lifestyle of the past. Forsyth Park Inn is one of those places that we will continue to come back to year after year.

Have you ever been to Savannah?

What's your favorite place to visit every year?
